To donate a laptop to Laptops for the Wounded, these are the "minimum" requirements for a usable laptop for our troops to use.

 

1) XP Operating System and all software that came with the laptop

2) A 750mhz processor or better

3) 256 minimum memory would be ideal, if not LTFW can increase it for a small cost.

4)  A 20GB or greater HDD, if not, then LTFW can replace with a 40GB HDD for a small cost.

5)  A CD or DVD internal unit

6)  An internal wireless capability would be ideal, if not then LTFW can install a Netgear wireless card 

7) Include a note if you want the laptop hard drive wiped (recommended if used for any banking, taxes, etc...)

9) Must be in good fully working condition 

10) BE SURE IS WELL PACKED – if not operable when received, this will be recorded for IRS verification purposes if requested from IRS.
