Laptops for the Wounded Mission Statement

Laptops for the Wounded is a non-profit charitable organization that provides laptops with webcams to wounded troops in military hospitals. The laptops are then used by the troops to remain in contact with wives, husbands, families and loved ones, while recuperating from their combat wounds. The laptops will then remain at the hospitals to be used by other incoming wounded troops to contact, and remain in contact, with loved ones.

A Message from Phil Drouin, President / CEO – Laptops for the Wounded

I would like to thank you for thinking of our wounded heroes and seeking out information on organizations that aid our heroes. The charity is currently in the process of deactivating. Donations of funds and equipment are currently not being accepted. We will continue to support current hospitals and also new hospitals until the current inventory / assets have been depleted.

My son went to war today
My nightmare since the days of Nam;
Not knowing when I will see him again
His picture always displayed upon my heart.

Johnny, a paratrooper with the Eighteenth
Jumping bravely from C-130's.
His courage is beyond my wildest dreams
As I pray ceaselessly for a safe land in the DZ.

His father, brothers and sister miss him so,
As do I, there seems such a void in our family.
Unfulfilled by photos and memories;
And our fears we must leave at Jesus' feet.

Johnny has gone to war today
But as the old march rings clear,
Johnny WILL come marching home
As God's Grace will see him through.
